Who We Are
Reforesting today for a sustainable future
Your Forest is a Mexican non-profit civil association founded in 2021, dedicated to the regeneration and restoration of forest ecosystems in Chiapas, Mexico. We work directly with local communities to generate real environmental impact while strengthening sustainable regional economie
Every year, the world loses more than 10 million hectares of forest. In Mexico, deforestation exceeds 130,000 hectares annually, seriously affecting ecosystems and biodiversity and accelerating global warming.

Our Mission
We promote ecosystem restoration through collaborations and strategic partnerships, strengthening community capacities to develop sustainable ecological and productive activities in the state of Chiapas.

Our Mission
To be a nationally recognized organization in ecosystem restoration, known for its collaborative work between civil society and government, its measurable impact, and its contribution to strengthening communities committed to conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources.

Our History
We emerged from collective work with organizations in the Jovel Valley Watershed and, in 2022, formally became a non-profit civil association: Your Forest A.C.
We were founded in 2021 as an initiative promoted by the Jovel Valley Basin Committee and Citizens for Territorial Action in the Jovel Valley, A.C., two organizations that, since 2007, have promoted reforestation events in the region thanks to the forest plants provided by public authorities.
With the change in environmental policies in the country, institutional forest plant production ceased in 2022. Faced with this scenario, we took on the challenge and responsibility of becoming the main supplier of temperate climate trees in the Los Altos region of Chiapas.
Since then, at Your Forest we have created, experimented with, and produced forest plants, realizing collective dreams to contribute, through our social purpose, to the improvement of Chiapas' ecosystems.
Today, we are the catalyst for the Tu Bosque Movement, a collective effort made up of service providers, suppliers, and volunteers who, through collaborative work and territorial commitment, carry out activities such as plant production, site prospecting for reforestation, community and peasant workdays, soil conservation works, training workshops, and monitoring processes to evaluate results and impacts.
Our Values

Sustainability and Agroecological Approach
We are dedicated to forest rehabilitation through the integrated management of natural resources, applying sustainable alternatives that imitate natural processes.

Community Collaboration
One of our fundamental pillars is close collaboration with rural and Indigenous local communities. We recognize that the participation of the people who inhabit the territory is essential for successful revegetation.

Valuing Diversity
We promote biological diversity, diversity of resources, knowledge, and strategies as the true wealth needed to maintain ecosystem health.

Responsibility and Social Awareness
We seek to strengthen awareness around the rational and sustainable use of forests, connecting urban populations with the natural environment to highlight the importance of ecosystem services.

Gratitude and Transparency
We value and appreciate the support of our partners, donors, and field team. We believe that the combined efforts of many are essential to achieving sustainability.

Resilience
Our approach goes beyond planting trees; we seek to restore the land, increase productivity, and efficiently develop ecosystem resilience.
